PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The challenge for BCI Seguros, for this project, was to increase its client portfolio through loyalty and the creation of online services that would help attract new prospects, all of this in the field of group insurance products for Business clients.

Because companies that subscribe this type of insurance must constantly manage the service for their employees, it is a strategic point to have a system that meets at least the following characteristics for their customers: online services, self-service, an experience User friendly and informative functionalities of the process.

For this, Tecnova developed a digital experience solution with the following functionalities per role:

Insurance Company Role

  • A website to manage group insurance, with the ability to incorporate new lines of insurance.
  • Enrollment authorization functionality.
  • Refund request evaluation functionality.
  • Reports to analyze the business.
  • Administrator for business rules configuration.

 

Collective Insurance Hiring Company Role

  • A website to manage the contract of collective insurance hiring company.
  • Digitization of enrollment processes for the company and its employees.
  • Information delivery about benefits and products, plus the possibility of downloading documents and forms.

 

Insured Role

  • A website to make requests for refound of medical and dental expenses, plus their follow-up.
  • Management of suscription and exclusion of holders and charges to insurance policies.
  • Automation of the risk evaluation process for suscriptions form.
  • General information about policies and usage statistics.
  • Information delivery, plus the possibility of downloading documents and forms.

 

Insurance Broker Role

  • Policies information, such as: general information, list of insured, current account, endorsements, claims, settlements of refound, among others.
  • Accident reports, such as: analysis by policy status, distribution of expenses, main spenders, most frequent providers.
  • Production reports, such as: policies to be renewed, expired policies, blocked policies, commissions, among others.

Meanwhile, with respect to the collective insurance coverage administered by the system, the scope of the project included the following products:

  • Temporary Life
  • Collective Personal Accidents
  • Complementary Health
  • Dental

Technical Detail of the Project

The system was implemented with Microsoft .NET with C # and ASP .NET and Oracle database.

Finally, the construction period took 12 months, using the Incremental Cascade development methodology, with processes based on CMMi. Regarding the work team, the roles of project managers, architects, functional analysts, developers and QA analysts participated.
